Create your table and share the invitation

Open Play with a friend, copy the link and send it to your friend. The first guest takes the second seat. Each device receives only its own hand and the public pile cards, tricks and counts. Both players must be connected to play.

Select a highlighted card from your hand or an open pile, then press Play card. Watch the two-card trick before it is collected automatically. A newly exposed pile card opens after collection, keeping the response fair.

Play the suit. Protect the bouts.

The 78-card deck has four suits with 14 ranks, 21 trumps and the Excuse. In each suit the order is King, Queen, Cavalier, Jack, 10 down to 1; trump 21 is highest.

Each player receives 21 private cards and six piles of three cards, with only the top card exposed. Play from your hand or a face-up pile. The next covered card opens after the trick is collected. This two-player variant has no bidding or chien; the starter alternates each round.

Follow the led suit if possible. Otherwise you must play a trump if you have one. Beat the highest trump in the trick whenever possible. If neither suit nor trump is available, discard any card. The winner takes both cards and leads again. Only legal cards are highlighted.

The Excuse may replace any card but never wins a trick. Before the last trick its owner keeps it and pays half a point to the winner. On the last trick the winner captures it. No slam exception is used.

The Petit (trump 1), trump 21 and Excuse are the three bouts. Bouts and kings are worth 4.5 points, queens 3.5, cavaliers 2.5, jacks 1.5 and other cards 0.5: 91 points in total. To win, collect 56, 51, 41 or 36 points with 0, 1, 2 or 3 bouts respectively.

Round score is 25 plus the winner’s margin over the target. Capturing the Petit on the last trick adds 10 points to its captor’s score and subtracts 10 from the opponent. There are no handful or slam bonuses. Rounds are scored separately.

Tap a legal card to select it, then Play card; double-tap also plays it. On one device, pass before revealing the next private hand. Local and computer rounds save separately. Online sends only your private hand and public information; both players agree to a new round.

Open a pile at the right moment

Protect the Petit and watch the exposed trumps. Winning a bout reduces your target, while playing a pile card reveals a new option after the trick. Save the Excuse before the final trick.

Return to your private seat

Local and computer games save separately in this browser. Changing difficulty keeps the deal. Reopen the invitation in the same browser to recover your online seat. Both players must be connected to play and agree to a new round. Clearing site data removes saves and seat credentials.

Your private Tarot table

Can my friend see my private hand?

No. The server sends each player only their own hand and public information. Covered pile identities are hidden from both players until exposed.

Can we reconnect?

Open the same invitation in the same browser to recover your seat and the saved table. Clearing site data removes seat credentials.

How do we start another round?

Both players press New round or Play again. The next deal starts when both agree; the starter alternates.

Which Tarot rules are used?

The discovery variant for two: 21 hand cards and six three-card piles each, without bidding or a chien. See the rules above for Excuse compensation, scoring and the omitted handful and slam bonuses.
