Small circle: bounce. Large ring: racket contact.
Run sideways as you return the ball.
Same device, computer or a private invitation.
Step onto the court
Choose Same device and press Let’s play. Player 1 is teal, Player 2 is coral. Use A/D and Left/Right arrows, or each player’s pair of mobile buttons. Teal serves first. Stay on your half and move your racket to the receiving ring.
Tennis 1v1 rules
Play one set. Points are 0, 15, 30, 40 and advantage; win each game by two points. Win six games with a two-game lead. At 6–6, play a tie-break to seven points, win by two. The scoreboard shows games / points.
The first bounce inside the opponent’s singles court keeps the rally alive. Return the ball with your racket before the second bounce. Rally volleys are allowed; a serve must bounce first. Lines are in; the doubles alleys are out. A first bounce out or on the hitter’s half loses the point.
Automatic serves land in the diagonal service box. A fault gives a second serve; two faults lose the point. A serve touching the net and landing in the correct box is replayed. Service changes after each game; in a tie-break, after the first point and every two points.
Return with your racket
Player 1: A/D. Player 2: Left/Right arrows. Either pair controls your player in solo or online play. On phones, hold an arrow to move sideways; release to stop. Each local player has separate buttons. Put the racket at the large receiving ring. The small circle shows the first bounce. Racket swings are automatic; hands and body never return the ball.
Place your next return
Prepare for the return beyond the first bounce. Move sideways at racket contact to angle your shot.
Practise at your pace
Choose Vs computer, then Easy, Medium or Hard. The levels change the opponent’s speed, reaction time and positioning accuracy. The computer uses the same ball physics and movement limits. Change difficulty through the same menu without resetting the match.
Pause, save and return
Local and computer matches save separately in this browser when storage is available. Reloading restores the match paused. New round keeps the current mode and difficulty. Clearing site data removes saved matches and online seat credentials.
Online play requires both players to press Ready. Pause, leaving the tab or losing the connection stops the match. Rejoin with the invitation in the same browser to recover your seat, then both get ready again. Points are saved before confirmation; ongoing rallies are checkpointed periodically. A server restart may restore the latest checkpoint. Both players must agree to a rematch. Inactive rooms expire after seven days.
