Every stroke counts

The lowest six-hole total wins.

Start your round

Choose Easy, Medium or Hard from the Vs computer popup. Easy uses a small search and adds aiming and power errors. Medium tests more angles and powers; Hard tests up to 1,296 shots with the same physics, considering water and blocked routes. It plans one shot at a time, not a whole match. Changing the level keeps your scorecard.

Six holes, fewer strokes

Two players compete over six generated holes. The lowest total stroke count wins; equal totals are a draw. Gold starts hole one, then the starting player alternates. After every shot, control passes to the other player unless that player has already finished the hole. Balls collide: your shot can move or sink your opponent’s ball. Gentle balls near the lip are drawn into the cup. Bushes cushion rebounds; boulders reflect the ball. A water penalty belongs to the affected ball’s owner, even when the opponent pushed it in.

Stone borders and boulders reflect the ball; bushes cushion the rebound. Sand slows it more than grass. Water returns it to its position before the shot and adds one penalty stroke. Each player is capped at 10 strokes per hole, including penalties. A fast ball can roll across the cup without dropping. When both players finish, choose Next hole; the final hole reveals the match result.

Each new round generates six random, asymmetric holes with a playable route. Both players see the same course, and reloading preserves its layout.

Find your line, time your putt

Move the mouse to aim and click to putt. On a touchscreen, tap or drag to aim, then press the shot button beside the course; lifting your finger does not shoot. The power meter rises and falls automatically: time your shot for the strength you want. The dotted guide ends at the first obstacle. With the course focused, Left and Right aim, Space or Enter shoots, and Escape cancels a held pointer.

Leave yourself an easy next putt

Use a gentle finish near the cup. On bends, set up a clear next shot instead of aiming through a wall. A safer route around water can cost less than a penalty. Sand can stop an overpowered approach, but makes your next putt shorter.

Keep your round

Same device and computer matches save separately in this browser after each confirmed shot, before its animation finishes. Reloading restores the settled outcome. Clearing browser data removes these saves. New round starts another six-hole match in the current mode.

Online, the server checks and saves every shot before both browsers show it. Both players must be connected. Reopen the invitation in the same browser to recover your seat. After your friend joins, both players must request New round. A successful shot clears pending rematch votes.

Mini Golf Vs Computer FAQ

How do you win?

Finish all six holes with fewer total strokes than your opponent. Equal totals are a draw.

What happens in water?

The ball returns to its pre-shot position. The shot counts, plus one penalty stroke, up to the 10-stroke limit.

Can the balls hit each other?

Yes. A collision can move your opponent’s ball or knock it into the cup. A ball sunk by the opponent keeps its owner’s current stroke count, which can be zero. Water returns the affected ball and gives its owner one penalty stroke.

Is there a stroke limit?

Yes. At 10 strokes including penalties, your ball is marked finished. This keeps the round moving.

Can we play on separate devices?

Yes. Use Play with a friend and share your private link. Both players must be connected.

One more gentle putt.

Take a breath, find your line and head for the flag.
