Choose the kind of game you want
Gomoku 2 Player puts both colors on one device. It is a good fit for a shared screen and a conversation between moves.
Vs Computer gives you the black stones and a choice of three opponent levels. Each level follows the same freestyle rules.
Play with a Friend creates a private invitation. Send it to your chosen opponent and join from different browsers. There is no random opponent search.
Find a point, place a stone
Click or tap an empty line crossing. The grid labels run A–O and 1–15; the small gold dot shows the latest move. On a keyboard, focus the board, select with the arrows and place with Enter or Space. Home selects the center.
On smaller screens, pinch to zoom and drag to inspect an enlarged area. The board adapts when you resize the window. Player cards and the current status stay above the board.
What makes a winning line?
Five or more touching stones of the same color must form one straight line. Gaps and corners break a line; either diagonal direction is valid. Play stops when a winner is found.
This freestyle version has no captures, forbidden moves, opening restrictions or color swaps. A full board with no winning line is a draw. The rules guide explains how a round works.
Come back to your position
Local and computer rounds save separately in this browser when storage is available. Private rooms keep confirmed moves on the server and reconnect after a connection loss. Use the same browser and invitation to return to your seat.
Both players must be connected to continue an online game. Rooms expire after seven days of inactivity. New round requires both players to agree once the guest has joined.
