Attack, defend, or pass it back.

Two players use 36 cards, from six up to ace in each suit. Each receives six cards. The exposed card determines trumps and stays at the bottom of the stock until it is drawn last. The lowest trump in either starting hand determines the first attacker in each fresh round; if neither player has a trump, the starter is chosen randomly.

Select a card and press Attack, or select several of the same rank to lead them together. To defend, select a card from your hand, tap an uncovered attack card to choose the target, and press Beat. A higher card of the same suit beats a lower one; any trump beats a non-trump, and a trump requires a higher trump. Aces are high.

Once the cards have been beaten, the attacker can throw in cards matching any rank already on the table, including defence cards. No more than six attack cards may be played in a bout, and the limit also cannot exceed the number of cards the defender held when that attack began. End attack clears a fully beaten table and makes the defender the next attacker.

Press Take cards if you cannot or do not want to defend. The attacker may still throw in matching ranks up to the limit, then presses Done. The defender picks up all attack and defence cards and misses their next attack. The same attacker starts again.

Choose Throw-in or Transfer beside Vs computer. Transfer adds one option before any card has been beaten: play another card of the same rank as all the attack cards to send the entire attack back to the opponent. The new defender must have enough cards to answer every attack, with a maximum of six. A transfer can come back again. There is no transfer after defence starts, and showing a trump without playing it does not count.

After the bout, the current attacker draws back up to six, then the final defender. Once the stock is empty, get rid of your remaining cards. The result is checked after the table is settled and any final draw is complete. An empty hand wins; if both hands are empty, the round is a draw. This version has no trump exchange, no special five-card first attack, and no accumulated match score.

Keep a useful answer in reserve

Spend a low card when it can do the job of a trump. Remember which ranks can be thrown in after a defence. In Transfer, keeping a matching rank may let you reverse the attack, but check how many cards your opponent has left. When the stock is low, decide whether defending or collecting cards leaves the better final hand.

GOOD TO KNOW

Durak Online FAQ

What is the difference between Throw-in and Transfer Durak?

Both allow matching ranks to be thrown in. Transfer also lets a defender play a matching rank to send the whole attack back, before any defence card is played and only if the new defender has enough cards.

Can more cards be added after I choose Take cards?

Yes. The attacker may add matching ranks within the attack limit before pressing Done. You pick up the whole table.

Can I win by playing my last card while the stock still has cards?

The result is checked after the attack and refill. An empty hand draws back up to six while the stock allows it. If both players end with no cards after the stock is exhausted, the round is a draw.

Can the computer see my hand?

No. The computer makes decisions from its own hand, public cards and card counts. Online players also receive only their own private cards.
