Four stones. Three ends.
Play three ends with four stones per player per end. Blue opens the first end and Red throws last. After eight throws, only the side closest to the centre scores: one point for each stone touching the house that is nearer than every opposing stone. Equal nearest distances blank the end. Most points after three ends wins; equal totals are a draw.
The side that did not score throws last in the next end; a blank end preserves the order. Stones collide. Touching a boundary or stopping short of the hog line removes a stone. This compact version has no sweeping or protected guard rule.
Find your line and weight
Tap or drag on the ice to aim. Set power with the slider, choose left, straight or right curl, then press Release. Lifting your finger or mouse button keeps the aim without throwing. Arrow keys adjust direction and power; Enter releases. The dotted guide is an estimate before collisions.
Leave a stone worth keeping
A gentle draw can beat a powerful shot. Place a guard before the house or knock an opposing stone away. Save the last stone for a clear route to the centre.
Choose your practice partner
Choose Easy, Medium or Hard in the Vs computer popup. The opponent tests 8, 30 or 72 candidate shots with the same physics. It considers draws and takeouts; changing difficulty preserves the match.
Keep your match
Local and computer matches save separately in this browser after every throw, before playback ends. Reloading restores the settled result. Clearing browser data removes these saves. Changing difficulty keeps your match.

Curling Play with a Friend FAQ
How do you score?
Only the side nearest the centre scores. Each stone touching the house and closer than every opposing stone is worth one point. The ring colours have no separate point values.
Can a match end in a draw?
Yes. Equal totals after three ends are a draw. A tie for the nearest stone makes that end scoreless.
Can stones hit each other?
Yes. You can raise your own stone or knock an opposing stone away. A stone touching the boundary is removed.
Is there sweeping?
No. Choose the power and curl before release. This compact game also omits the protected guard rule.
Can we play on different devices?
Yes. Choose Play with a friend and send the private invitation. Both players must be connected to throw.
One more stone to the button.
