Create a table, share the invitation
Open Play with a friend, copy the invitation and send it to your friend. The first guest takes the second seat. Stay connected while playing; reopen the link in the same browser to recover your seat.
Draw, pair and pass the queen
Remove the queen of clubs from a standard deck and deal all 51 remaining cards between two players. Pairs of the same rank are discarded automatically, regardless of suit. Three equal ranks make one pair and leave one card; four make two pairs.
Player 1 starts the first round. Choose one face-down card from the other hand. If it matches a rank in your own hand, both cards go to the pair pile automatically. Otherwise you keep it.
Players alternate after every draw. Both remaining hands are shuffled after each draw, keeping the next choice blind. There is no stock, voluntary pass or manual pair selection.
The first empty hand wins. The other player is left with one unmatched queen: the Old Maid. Drawing the opponent’s last card may therefore make the opponent win. There is no cumulative score. The starter alternates in new rounds.
On one device, reveal your hand only after receiving the device. The draw animation plays before the next hand is covered; the other player must reveal their cards explicitly. Hide hand and leaving the app cover the hand immediately.
Online, each device receives only its own hand and public pairs and counts. The computer also receives a private view and draws blindly. Easy, Medium and Hard change the delay between its turns, not its luck or knowledge.

Choose any highlighted card back. Every position is equally likely after shuffling, so no position is safer. Watch the hand counts and enjoy the suspense of the final queen.
Return to your table
Local and computer rounds save separately in this browser. Changing the computer level keeps the deal. Reopen a private invitation in the same browser to reclaim your seat. Both players must be connected to draw and must agree to a new round. Clearing site data removes local saves and seat credentials.

How do we start another round?
Both players press New round or Play again. The next deal starts only after both agree, and the starter alternates.
Which queen is the Old Maid?
The queen of clubs is removed before dealing. The other three queens can pair by rank; whichever queen remains unmatched at the end is the Old Maid.
Do matching suits matter?
No. Two equal ranks make a pair, including two queens. Pair removal is automatic.
Does Hard know which card to choose?
No. All choices are blind and the hands are shuffled after each draw. The level changes only the computer’s pace.
