Pick a level and keep your hand
Open Vs computer and choose Easy, Medium or Hard. Your hand stays visible while the computer plays. The direct link restores your saved level; reopen the mode menu to change it without losing the round.
Match, draw and change the suit
Each player receives 7 cards from a standard 52-card deck without jokers. Player 1 starts the first round; the starter alternates with each new round. The opening card is never an eight.
Play one card that matches the top card’s suit or rank. An eight is always wild: select it, press Choose suit, then choose hearts, spades, diamonds or clubs. The next player must match that suit or play another eight. You may finish with an eight.
If your hand has no legal card, draw one card at a time until you can play. Drawing keeps your turn. This version does not allow drawing while a legal card is available. There are no skip, reverse or draw-two effects.
When the stock is empty, earlier discards are shuffled into a new stock while the top card and chosen suit stay in place. If you cannot play or draw, pass. Two consecutive passes finish a blocked round.
The first player to empty their hand wins. In a blocked round, the lower remaining total wins: an eight counts 50, J/Q/K count 10, an ace counts 1 and other cards count their number. Equal totals tie. Each round stands alone; there is no cumulative match score.
On one device, pass it before pressing Reveal my hand. Online, the server sends only your own cards and public information. Computer opponents also receive only their own hand and the public table. Easy chooses randomly, Medium favors a strong suit and saves wilds, and Hard also evaluates connected cards and an opponent close to finishing.
Make your last cards work together
Keep several cards of one suit to give yourself follow-ups. A wild eight can rescue a blocked hand, but costs 50 if the round becomes blocked. Watch the opponent’s card count and plan your last two cards together.
Return to your table
Local and computer rounds save separately in this browser. Return to a private room with the same browser and invitation to reclaim your seat. Both players must be connected to move and must agree to a new round. Clearing site data removes local saves and seat credentials. Inactive rooms expire after seven days.

Crazy Eights Vs Computer FAQ
Does Hard see my cards?
No. Every level receives only its own hand, public discards and card counts. Hard evaluates useful continuations and the cost of keeping an eight when the opponent is close to finishing.
Can I finish with an eight?
Yes. Choose a suit as usual; playing your last card wins immediately.
What if the deck runs out?
Earlier discards are reshuffled, keeping the top card. If neither player can play or draw, two passes end the round and the lower remaining card value wins.
Are there draw-two or skip cards?
No. Only eights are special in this version. All other cards match by suit or rank.
